Introduction
The very first thing I should say is - if a commercially made pin & cam pick is available for the lock you wish to defeat & you value your time / sanity - buy it ! However if no tool is available and the lock is technically difficult or beyond your skill to defeat with a conventional 2 in 1 & you have access to workshop tools and lots of time then it is worth considering making your own.
MORTICE PICKS REVIEW.
Mark asked me to have a play with his range of mortice lock/curtain picks to see what I thought of them, despite me telling him that I haven’t done much mortice lock opening for a long while. I pick plenty of safe locks open during my normal day to day work & in my early days used to do a lot of repossessions for estate agents & gas board warrant work although without a lot of the fancy gear that is readily available to locksmiths nowadays, so thought it would be interesting to try my hand so to speak....
